The Garage Saga

After much talk, the work on the garage has finally begun! Work began on January 8, 1999. Watch the progress:

• Paint added to the outside, and stucco to come soon
• Another view
• The drywall and plaster are on
• New doors, view from outside
• The french doors are in
• Jay is concerned about what the new doors will be like
• The old steps are gone
• And add some temporary plywood
• Now we remove the old house back door
• View of the garage from the front of the house
• Add some paint
• Add some doors (always necessary)
• Bryan and the dogs check it out
• "What IS this garage of which you speak?"
• Getting ready for stucco
• The roof is on
• The walls go up
• Leaving lumber all over the yard
• Framing begins
• Foundation concrete poured
• Rebar installed for garage foundation
• Digging for the foundation begins
• View from the back of the yard
• And another...
• The dirt pile moves to the driveway

• A crack team of workers hauls out all the old concrete and tree debris
• Well, the tree remains are still there...
• No more patio by the back door, leaves plenty of mud to turn dogs into MUD DOGS
